Grizzly seen on Idaho Peak

You are not able to drive to the parking areas yet due to snow. You can get to around 9.5 km, just shy of Wild Goose Basin, & parking is awkward as there are limited pullouts. You will be walking in for 2.5 km to the ridge & you will find the snow patchy on the road, almost one edge is free. Lots of yellow flowers as well as pesky ‘dear fly’ at the ridge. I believe all the mountain bike trails are open & you can get to the drop- off points by vehicle except for the Wakefield, which is accessed from the top parking area. I saw what looked like bear tracks in the snow June 29, & I have heard reports of a “white grizzly” being seen in the area, so caution advised especially if you are taking your dog.051 002 009 038
