You are not able to drive to the parking areas yet due to snow. You can get to around 9.5 km, just shy of Wild Goose Basin, & parking is awkward as there are limited pullouts. You will be walking in for 2.5 km to the ridge & you will find the snow patchy on the road, almost one edge is free. Lots of yellow flowers as well as pesky ‘dear fly’ at the ridge. I believe all the mountain bike trails are open & you can get to the drop- off points by vehicle except for the Wakefield, which is accessed from the top parking area. I saw what looked like bear tracks in the snow June 29, & I have heard reports of a “white grizzly” being seen in the area, so caution advised especially if you are taking your dog.
